The 2nd National High-Temperature Intensity Conference organized by the High-Temperature Strength Group of the Institute of Materials Science of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society was held on October 15-19, 1988 at the Submarine Academy of Qingdao, Shandong Province. A total of 82 representatives attended the conference, which were from the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics, the Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Ministry of Metallurgy, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Petroleum and Chemical Industry, the Ministry of Communications, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
