《全民目击》在结构上是通过多视角的叙事,来全景式的展现整个事件,是个更客观的方式。四十岁才执导了第一部电影的非行,应该算是“大器晚成”那一型的导演。在自己的银幕处女作《守望者:罪恶迷途》之前,非行已在电视剧行业摸爬滚打近十年。虽然名利皆有,但只要没拍成电影,他便一直把自己归在“怀才不遇”的那群人中。非行这十年的蛰伏期,恰好是华语电影业最蓬勃的时代。如今再看,当年他所怀的“才”的确未“遇”最好的时机。从《守望者:罪恶迷途》到《全民目击》,非行所擅长的类型是迫近现实的犯罪悬疑片,而在很长一段时间里,国内电影审查部门对现实的“阴暗面”很敏感。完成于1 999年的《守望者:罪恶迷途》剧本,根本无法通过当年的“电审”。犯罪悬疑片,这个在好莱坞非常成熟的商业类型,因为国内在题材审查上的严格控制,一直未能在新世纪初开始产业化的华语电影市场获得萌芽的机会。国内观众这几年能吃的“莱式”就那么几样,爱情片、喜剧片和古装动作片。
