In 2014, the transaction volume in the secondary market hit a new high. Of these, regulatory change and economic recovery are of course not negligible. However, market maturity also plays an important role. After a year of hard work, JPMorgan finally succeeded in selling half of its owned PE branch, One Equity Partners (OEP), to second-tier buyers Lexington Partners and Alp Invest Partners, including OEP $ 4.5 billion investment in the transaction of 2 billion U.S. dollars in assets. According to Cogent Partners, the total transaction value of such assets has reached about 16 billion U.S. dollars so far this year, and Morgan’s deal deserved to be the winner.
