目的状语和结果状语是英语语法中十分普遍的语言现象,可以用词组、从句等不同结构来表示。一般说来,中国学生在理解上并不太困难。然而,不同的结构在用法上却有其不同的特点,中国学生若掌握不好这些特点,在理解和使用上就可能产生困难,出现误解或差错。因此,对各种结构的目的和结果状语,在教学中除讲解其一般性外,更应向学生指出其不同的特点,才能使学生举一反三,真正掌握。本文拟就笔者多年从事公共英语教学的经验和体会,在这方面作一
The purpose of the adverbial and the result adverbial is a very common linguistic phenomenon in English grammar, which can be expressed in different structures such as phrases and clauses. In general, Chinese students are not too difficult to understand. However, different structures have different characteristics in their usage. If Chinese students fail to grasp these characteristics, they may experience difficulty in comprehension and use, with misunderstandings or mistakes. Therefore, for the purpose of various structures and the adverbial result, in addition to explaining the general nature of teaching, students should be pointed out their different characteristics in order to enable the students to learn from one mannerism and truly grasp. This article intends to author for many years engaged in public English teaching experience and experience in this area for one
