Breast Cancer 1 (BRCA1) gene is an important indicator of DNA damage, researchers can predict ovarian cancer and breast cancer, but the role of the gene in other aspects is not yet clear. A study by Inder Verma et al., A genetics and molecular biologist at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences in San Diego, California, found that mice that did not contain the BRCA1 gene in vivo died soon after birth, so that BRCA1 is believed to be essential for life gene. A few years ago, a Verma student found that BRCA1 was particularly active in the area of neuroectoderm, which contains a large number of neural stem cells. Verma and colleagues want to find out why the BRCA1 gene is particularly active in the region and if BRCA1 is removed
