明代的淮安府城是东南沿海地区的重要城市,其城池体系由旧城、新城、联城3部分纵连而成,形制独特;城内先后设置了若干重要的公署,分别负责漕运管理、军事防御和地方行政,其沿革变化反映出城市性质的微妙转变;城内外修建了一系列的坛壝、祠庙、寺观和杂祀建筑,反映了儒释道三教以及民间信仰并存的局面;同时,府城及近郊又分布着很多集市以及园林、风景区,体现了繁华的商业面貌和优美的城市景观。本文在历史文献的基础上对明代淮安府城及其公署、祠庙寺观、集市和风景园林进行分析,并试图总结其主要的城市特色。
The Huai’an Fucheng in the Ming Dynasty was an important city in the southeast coastal area. Its urban system consisted of three parts of the old city, the new city and the city of Liancheng. The city was unique in shape. Based on the historical documents, this paper analyzes Huai’an Fucheng and its office, temples and temples, marketplaces and landscape gardens in the Ming Dynasty, and attempts to summarize its main urban features.
