主要探讨了大学非英语专业二年级学生中,填空(gap-filling)与文章(essay)相结合的英语测试是否有效。学生在完成文章的阅读后,根据课文首先要完成填空测试(30道填空题)并写出一段描述性的文章。结果证明填空测试和文章写作间存在高度的相关性。这个结果也印证了此前由Fotos(1991年)、Hanania和Shikhani(1986年)及Soyoung Lee(1996年)所提出的观点:即完型和文章测试存在高度的相关性。
It mainly discusses whether the English test combining gap-filling with essay is effective among sophomore non-English majors. After completing the reading of the article, the student first completes the blank-fill test (30 blank fill questions) based on the text and writes a descriptive essay. The results demonstrate that there is a high degree of correlation between fill-in-test and article writing. This result also confirms the earlier point raised by Fotos (1991), Hanania and Shikhani (1986) and Soyoung Lee (1996) that there is a high degree of correlation between finish and article testing.
