通过对变形链球菌野生株MT8148及其GTFI过度表达株作蔗糖依赖性粘附实验,发现随着起始接种菌量的增加,所构建的变链GTFI过度表达株蔗糖依赖性粘附能力明显下降,而MT8148无显著变化。扫描电镜揭示,这是由于GTFI过表达株的粘附模式发生了改变,即由错落有序的立体网状结构转变成片层状结构所致。作者推测这可能与葡聚糖合成的增加有关。
By sucrose-dependent adhesion experiments on Streptococcus mutans wild strain MT8148 and its GTFI overexpression strain, it was found that the sucrose-dependent adhesion ability of the transformed GTFI overexpressing strain was significantly decreased as the initial inoculum size was increased , While MT8148 showed no significant change. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that this was due to a change in the adhesion pattern of the GTFI overexpressing strain, that is, the change from a patchy ordered three-dimensional network structure to a lamellar structure. The authors speculate that this may be related to the increased synthesis of dextran.
