In 1952, Fazal Elahi held a one-month librarian in-service education at the University of Dhaka Library. From 1955 to 1959, M.S.Khan, Director of the University of Dhaka Library, was responsible for organizing four on-the-job continuing education programs on four topics. In October 1958, the East Pakistan Library Association (now the Bangladesh Library Association, LAB) was founded. As soon as the association was founded, it started a college-level librarian qualification program, which marks the beginning of formal library science education. Carrying out various forms of on-the-job education was highly praised by university authorities. Finally, in 1959, a one-year certificate program in library science for undergraduate students was opened at Dhaka University. In 1962, it was upgraded to a master course , 1976, 1979 two years, respectively, an additional philosophy master’s and brahma courses. From 1988 to 1989, the professional diploma course was suspended, and a 3-year undergraduate degree program was awarded to grant a bachelor’s degree in library information science. This is to adapt to the needs of library modernization and to reorganize traditional library science education contents with core subjects and specialized subjects Move. In 1963, the education of school librarians began with the National Institute for Educational Management and Extension (NIEAER) in Dhaka city. In 1975, four faculty members trained in universities and held a one-month seminar. 1972, by the Bangladesh Library
