英语课本不仅起着传播知识的作用,而且还隐含了政治、社会以及道德价值观念等信息。这些隐藏在英语课本中的价值观念不可避免地会对学生们产生一定的影响。因此,对英语课本中的性格刻板印象的研究就显得很有必要了。本文主要通过分析高中一年级外研版和人教版两个版本中的第二单元,找出其中所含的刻板信息,并对其结果进行分析与讨论,找出隐含的一些关于性别的负面的刻板印象对学生造成的潜在的影响,进而提出相应的建议或意见以减弱该方面所产生的刻板印象。
