为了定量地估计开发区周围海域的物理自净能力,评价和预测环境质量,除了现场海上观测和实验室水力模型实验之外,通过建立数值模式,用计算机对海水的流动和排放到海水中的污染物扩散分布规律进行数值模拟已成为有效方法。 用数值模拟的方法能够较好地重现研究区的流体运动和污染物在流体作用下的输运规律、污染物浓度的分布和变化。可以预测由于排污点位置的变化、污染排放量的改变对纳污水域水质的影响,从而为合理利用海域的物理自净能力、估算海域的最大允许纳污量、实行污染排放控制、制定区域性排放量提供科学依据。
