Spatial ethics stems from the controversy of modern thinkers about whether space can affect the study of ethics. It is also an important prerequisite for the study of contemporary normative ethics, though it has not been proven. The possibility of spatial ethics must prove the ethical importance of space, that is, the different spatial characteristics have a profound impact on ethical relations and ethical practice. In addition, a key category that illustrates the ethics of space and covers different spatial characteristics must be proposed. Spatial ethics also leads to the issue of moral diversity. The diversity of morality in different spaces does not mean that space can change the universality of moral orders, but it can still effectively influence the scope of moral norms and the intrinsic motivation of moral subjects. Therefore, insisting on ethical universalism means correcting the deviation of moral practice in different spaces.
