鄂伦春族是我国人口最少的民族之一。现人口为6965人(1990年全国第三次人口普查统计)。主要居住在内蒙古自治区东北部的鄂伦春自治莫力达瓦旗、布特哈旗和阿荣旗,黑龙江省的塔河、呼玛、黑河市、逊克和嘉荫等地。 “鄂伦春”是民族自称,其含义主要有二种解释;一是“使用驯鹿的人们”,一是住在山岭上的人们。” 此名称最早见于清康熙二十二年文献记载,在此以前往往把鄂伦春族与达斡尔、鄂温克等民族统称为“索伦部”、“打牲部”或“使鹿部”。 The Oroqen ethnic group is one of the least populated ethnic groups in China. This name was first seen in the literature of the Qing Emperor Kangxi in the past 22 years. Prior to this, the Oroqen and Daur, Ewenki, etc. were commonly referred to as the “Sorren Ministry,” the “Moral Ministry,” or the “Deer Ministry.”
