Since the 1990s, with the deconstruction of the paradigm of dualistic opposition and the prevalence of multiculturalism, the research paradigms of American literature have shifted and the “hybrid” perspective has been widely used in the study of American literature. “Hybrid ” perspective reflects contemporary American literature researchers’ self-awareness and acute discernment of their own cultural multi-sources, and is one of the effective ways to bridge the fragmentary and localized fragility of “truth ” in post-modern society. Tolerance, complementarity, dialogue instead of mutual assassination, exclusion become the aesthetic character of contemporary American literature.
