主持人语:在20世纪的绘画大师中、林风眠与刘海粟无疑是争议最多的两位。这倒是一个很有意思的现象,人们对齐白石、黄宾虹、吴昌硕等传统延续型的大师基本上一致公认,而对中西融合型的大师总是颇多争议,如此来看,中国画的现代化确实还有很长的一段路要走。同样致力于中西融合,如果说林风眠是以西方现代绘画语言对中国画传统视觉样式进行创造性的革命,刘海粟则更侧重于“中体西用”。本文从视觉张力、图像格局、整体气势诸方面对二者进行比较,见解独到,以理服人,足为一家之言。特约学术主持:阮荣春顾平
