When investigating the cause of lung cancer in mines belonging to a company in Yunnan Province, the death rate of lung cancer among miners was 16.97 times that of the control group in the ground, and there were obvious occupational characteristics. The radioactive radium content of ore samples was 19 times higher than that of rock samples, which was the main source of downhole radon gas. Estimated cumulative sputum exposure for 294 miners with lung cancer, averaged 790 work-months, with an average age of 24 years; 25 average ribs-210 lead averaged 1.25 picolicurie / Wet bone weight is 6.6 times that of the control population. The authors believe that radioactive cesium and medlars are one of the main causes of cancer.
