1985年在河北省红小豆主产区红小豆罹病植株上采集了38份标样,从中分离出8502分离物。二年重复鉴定表明,该分离物可以侵染茄科、豆科、藜科等7科31种植物。体外稳定性測定:钝化温度60°—65℃,稀释限点10~(-3)—10~(-4),体外保毒期(室温)1—2天。病毒可通过摩擦接种传毒。并由桃蚜做非持久性传播。该分离物和黄瓜花叶病毒抗血清呈阳性反应。电镜下病毒形态为球状粒体,大小30nm。根据上述性状判断,8502分离物属于黄瓜花叶病毒(CMV)。用琼脂双扩散法检测该病毒在田间自然感染率约为12.7%—36%。可以认为黄瓜花叶病毒是红小豆病毒病的主要病毒种类之一。

Cucumber mosaic virus can be considered as one of the major virus types of red bean virus disease.
