1991年8月9日北京轻型汽车有限公司开发的 BJ1041QZ(4)DG 轻型载货汽车在北京通过了批量投产鉴定。1991年8月18日中意两国合作项目的成果——南汽依维柯轻型客车下线,国产化率达40%,并投放市场。1991年8月24日由航空航天部066基地研制 WS2400重型越野车底盘,在北京通过技术鉴定。该产品载质量可达20吨,越沟宽度2.5米,采用此底盘组装的整车动力性、制动性、平顺性、机动越野性和环境适应性均达到较高水平,可供石油、地矿和林业等部门使用。1991年9月16~23日由重庆西南车辆厂生产的铁马重型汽车,历时7天,行程1700公里,实现了国产汽车首次成功地横越苏丹境内的撒哈拉大沙漠。1991年9月20~23日中汽总
