SchinusmolleL. It is a kind of lacquer tree cashewin plant originally produced in South America and has been widely transplanted into many tropical and subtropical regions. Its sap has diuretic properties, and its leaves have antihypertensive effects. It was used as a traditional herbal medicine in Peru. Previously, the authors had examined the inhibition of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity in 9 extracts of this genus and found that they all had different degrees of inhibition. Now
