According to analysis of the 1982 population deaths in Shanghai, the top two deaths in Shanghai are due to cardiovascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases, of whom more than 83% are older than 60 years old. This paper uses the moving average method and considers the consistency of disease classification to analyze the seasonal changes of heart and cerebrovascular disease mortality in elderly people aged 60 and above in Jing’an District of Shanghai. Its mortality rate provides a basis for prolonging human life. Materials and Methods The death toll of the population aged 60 and above in the Jingan District from 1973 to 1985 was provided by the Jingan District Epidemic Prevention Station. Using 1982 Jing’an to distinguish between gender, age group population, and Shanghai men’s and women’s life table, the number of people aged 60 and above divided by gender and age group from 1973 to 1985 was calculated. The criteria for calculating the standardized mortality of cardiovascular diseases (1974-1985) and the standardized mortality of cerebrovascular disease (1973-1985) in the elderly population aged 60 years and over were calculated using the gender age of the population in 1982.
