According to statistics, aspirin produced annually in the world reaches up to 100 billion pieces and is removed by 6 billion people. On average, each earth person can enjoy 16-17 pieces of “enjoying” per year. True, most people may never eat aspirin, but others take aspirin almost daily. I would like to tell you the story of aspirin because I am convinced that there are so many people in this magical story that we have a deeper understanding of the contribution of chemistry to humankind.
