我国古代秘书理论体系在宋代《册府》中已较为完整地建立了起来，这个体系由秘书主体理论、秘书客体理论、秘书环境理论三大板块构成。对古代秘书理论中的主体概念──幕府也作了特定的内涵与外延的界定。这一研究成果，否定了当代理论界普遍认为的中国古代秘书理论体系出现于清代幕学的观点。
The system of the ancient secretary theory in our country has been more completely established in the “Book House” in Song Dynasty. The system consists of three main sections: secretary principal theory, secretary object theory and secretary environment theory. The concept of the subject in the theory of ancient secretaries ─ ─ shogunate also made a specific connotation and extension of the definition. This research result denied the view that the theoretical system of ancient Chinese secretaries appeared in the Qing Dynasty during the Qing Dynasty.
