Spintronics is a new rapidly emerging field of science.These futuristic high tech spin based electronics are expected to bring revolutionary changes in the field of information technology and telecommunication.[1,2] The practical applications in the various fields of life and its effects on the human civilization have made the subject extremely demanding.Spintronic devices will result in gigabit memory devices such as giant magneto-resistance (GMR),colossal magneto-resistance (CMR),and their function depends on the charge of the electrons plus spin,which is exploited for efficient use of spintronic devices and could be efficiently used in advanced technology.[3]Cubic perovskite CaFeO3 belongs to the perovskite family,having lattice constant 3.77(A),and is synthesized at high temperature and pressure.An isomer shift corresponding to the tetravalent state of iron (Fe+4) and Neel temperature (120K) were reported from Mossbauer spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements.[4] The Mossbauer spectra reveal the existence of unusually complicated and subtle magnetic interactions,which include spin-reorientation effects and may be triggered by a change in oxidation state of Fe.
