On the early morning of September 19, the 14th and 15th Beidou navigation satellites in China were successfully launched at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center by the launch of the “BIG-1” type long-march B-type carrier rocket “Double Arrow Star” and were accurately delivered to the perigee 200 km, apogee more than 20,000 kilometers in the circle transfer orbit. This is the second time that China has launched two earth-medium-high orbit satellites using the “double bow” mode. Sun Jiadong, chief architect of Beidou satellite navigation system engineering, said that “Double Arrow Star” is of great significance to speeding up Beidou navigation satellite network construction and completing Beidou satellite navigation system construction. The success of the launch mission also marked the successful completion of Beidou regional satellite navigation system network construction. On April 14, 2007, the first Beidou navigation pilot satellite was successfully launched by the Long March III A carrier rocket. Since then, the Long March III A series of carrier rocket successfully completed 5 geosynchronous geostationary orbitals during the networking phase of the Beidou satellite navigation system GEO) satellites, five Slope Geostationary Orbiters (IGSO) satellites and two Central orbital Orbits (MEO) satellites.
