In order to further study the impact of handsets on traffic safety when pedestrians cross the street, and based on the strategic reaction-delay theory (SRD), the use of hand-held mobile phone delays (RTDs) when establishing pedestrian crossings from the perspectives of social psychology and behavioral psychology, Model, through questionnaire surveys and field observations, using pre and post-contrast research methods to explore the delay caused by different cell phone use patterns. The results show that men of the same age use mobile phone to cross the street, the delay rate is higher than that of women, the delay rate when making a call is higher than the delay rate when browsing a mobile phone. An average of one mobile phone interface and traffic observation task switch causes 0.34 s time delay.
