以南京地区栽培较多的13个豇豆品种为试材, 分别测定了它们幼苗根系粗酶抽提液中的几丁质酶活性及对西瓜尖镰孢菌生长的抑制作用, 并分析了两者之间的关系。结果表明, 各供试豇豆品种都具有几丁质酶活性, 对西瓜尖镰孢菌的生长都具有抑制作用。早熟二号豇豆的几丁质酶活性高,且比对照长白七号菜豆和新红宝西瓜对西瓜尖镰孢菌生长的抑制作用强, 但并非所有品种上述两者之间都呈正相关的。试验结果提示, 在对西瓜尖镰孢菌生长影响方面, 除了几丁质酶之外, 可能还存在其它生物因素的作用; 或者几丁质酶本身亦有抑菌活性强弱甚至有无之别。
