马致远是公认的元曲大家,曾瑞声望虽不及之,亦同样驰誉元曲殿堂。二位散曲创作既呈现出题材丰富,内蕴悲情的共同特征,又有因各自出身、经历、价值取向不同而造成的差异。概而言之,马致远散曲主要表现失意儒生的牢骚悲愤,曾瑞散曲多是抒发市井平民的潇洒放荡。马、曾可看作元曲两个不同创作群体的代表,也从侧面折射出元代社会生活的多姿多彩。
Ma Zhiyuan is widely recognized as the yuan, Zeng Rui reputation not as good as, but also well-known Yuan Qu hall.
