GENERAL INFORMATION The Conference on Luminescence had its origin in Warsaw(1936) and in Oxford(1938), initially as a small symposium of researchers interested in the field of luminescence. These gatherings were revived after World War Ⅱ when the first postwar meeting was held in England once again. Since then, because of the growth of interest in and increasing technical importance of luminescence, the conference has thrived in size and scope.
