一、试验目的白榆(Ulmus pumila Linn)是我国主要造林树种,也是我区的重要乡土树种之一。其生长迅速,适应性强,抗严寒,耐干旱瘠薄,材质良好,经济价值高,深受广大群众欢迎。我区近年来营造榆树从外地引进大量的种子,但由于产地不清,种子混杂,其生长差异很大,给林业生产带来不良影响。为更好地挖掘和发挥白榆的生产潜力,提高产量,为我区半干旱、干旱地区培选出最适宜的榆树良种种源采区,我们于1980年参加了由中国林科院组织的白榆种源研究协作课题。现将五年来在我院如意和试验林场进行的白榆种源试验初步成效总结如下。

In order to better tap the potential of elm production and increase production, we selected the most suitable elm varieties for cultivation in semi-arid and arid areas of our district.
