刘秉衡(1915—2003),字平之,广东番禺人,曾毕业于广州市立美术专科学校,是广东“国画研究会”成员,以山水画驰誉画坛,是20世纪传统绘画的代表人物。因其长期寓居香港,故在我国主流画坛一直鲜为人知。关于他在国画研究会中的角色,知者似乎并不多,至于他在近现代广东绘画史上的地位,学术界也未有足够的认识。 Liu Bingheng (1915-2003), a character of Panyu, Guangdong, graduated from Guangzhou Fine Arts College. He is a member of Guangdong “Chinese Painting Research Society ”. He is famous for painting in landscape painting and is the representative of traditional painting in the 20th century. Because of its long-term residence in Hong Kong, it has been little known in the mainstream art scene in our country. As for his role in the study of Chinese painting, it seems that there are not many known people. As for his position in the history of modern Guangdong painting, there is not enough academic knowledge in the academic world.
