抗战时期中共领导推动了晋察冀抗日根据地乡村戏剧文艺活动,动员群众积极参加抗战、参与乡村新文化建设,推动了中心工作,促进了华北乡村的文化生态和社会面貌的改变。中共领导发动了旧式艺人、乡村知识分子和普通民众相继参与戏剧演出和剧本创作,使群众同时成为乡村戏剧的受众和主体;引导剧本内容由娱乐为主向政治教化为主转化,主题从抗战救国向翻身解放、从倡导抗日救国的民族主义向倡导翻身解放的民主主义演变。这些举措,以戏剧为媒介与乡村社会有效互动,有力推动了抗战文艺的发展,引领了文化走向,实现了对农民的政治动员并赢得了意识形态在基层农民中的认同。
