Research shows that there is a correlation between the ultrasonic velocity and the extent of graphite spheroidization in cast iron, the metal matrix and the heat treatment code. The data obtained confirm that acoustic measurements not only predict tissue reliably, but also predict the mechanical properties of cast iron.
