土壤中居住着无数的微生物,这些微生物有的对作物有益,有的对作物有害,但一般来说,有益微生物占极大多数。有益微生物能提高土壤肥力,增加或改善植物营养,刺激作物生长,抑制有害微生物繁殖。土壤中有益微生物愈多,作物生长愈有利。因此我们必须用各种方法来发展有益微生物,控制和消灭有害微生物。而使用细菌肥料就是用人工方法调节土壤微生物组成,使它向着我们需要的方向发展。这种用人工方法培养繁殖有益微生物,施入土壤中去提高土壤肥
