1 Experimental prototype On the slopes of the terrace to control erosion, requires a lot of equipment and costs. There is an alternative approach, a method currently under study that replaces artificial terraces by planting plants on contour lines at appropriate intervals. In wet and humid plains, trees are the usual regional windbreak barrier and the short-lived camphor trees such as grains and flax have also been used for wind erosion control and snow cover maintenance. However, the selection of plant barriers is severely limited in the semi-arid plains of lower rainfall.
