词汇教学是语文教学中的一个重要部分。特别是较低年级的学生,生活经验不丰富,大众口语里的多种多样的词汇知道得不多;书读得少,因而书籍中——特别是文学作品中的有用的和优美的词汇也吸取得少。然而孩子们的思想情感这时候正随着年龄逐渐丰富起来,复杂起来,如果语言的训练不能跟他们的思想发展好好地配合,他们就会因为掌握的词汇不够而不能很好地进行思惟,也常有许多很好的意思不能充分地表达出来。我担任初中的语文课。从学生们的习作中常常可以看到这些现象:词不达意;词汇贫乏,文章写得枯燥无味;错用词义相近的词汇;等等。如:
