In winter, the temperature is low, the days are short, and the body activities are relatively reduced. However, the digestive functions are more active than those in spring, summer and autumn, and the secretion of gastric juice is increased and the appetite is increased. This reflects the increase of heat energy requirement in winter. When the body is in a cold environment, to maintain body temperature balance, we must increase the body’s metabolic rate, thereby increasing the amount of food required, especially for better absorption of fatty foods, good intake of fat has better cold resistance Anti-freezing effect. Therefore, the daily diet in winter may be appropriate to increase the number of “fatty”, but not too much to prevent the occurrence of hyperlipidemia and obesity.
