在车床上用蜗轮滚刀单个滚切蜗轮,这种方法由于蜗轮滚刀在切削过程中受较大径向力,是不均匀切削,不仅精度光洁度不易达到要求,而且生产率较低。为了克服以上缺点,我们在一九七五年八月份的生产高潮中,设计制造并使用了“小模数蜗轮组合加工装置”。此装置是用蜗轮蜗杆啮合的原理来滚切蜗轮。此装置能同时加工蜗轮的数量,取决于蜗轮最小包角及结构上的可能。这种滚切是通过下图
