The asymmetric reaction of conjugated unsaturated trifluoromethyl ketone with acetaldehyde catalyzed by chiral primary amine was taken as the key step to synthesize optically active β-trifluoromethyl-β-hydroxy-δ-valerolactone Asymmetric Aldol, Oxidation, Iodolactonization and Deiodination Reaction of Acetaldehyde and Conjugated Unsaturated Ketone in Synthesis.
