在党的十大精神鼓舞下,在批林整风运动的推动下,在上级党委和市工代会科技组的领导下,杭州铸造厂广大革命职工在工业学大庆的群众运动中,积极推广应用优选法,通过优选试验,在冲天炉熔炼中节约用焦方面,取得了成果。该厂冲天炉是在上海新建机器厂的2.5~3吨/时冲天炉的基础上作适当修改而建成的。每天开炉,日产量在12吨左右,总焦比为1∶11~12,铁水温度为1390~1420℃左右。经过优选以后,总焦比提高到1∶14.5~15,铁水温度为1390~1410℃,但有时在熔化后期铁水有氧化现象。为了巩固优选成果,提高铁水质量,进一步降低焦耗,杭州铸造厂铸铁车间
