In 2004, as rover Mars rover successfully reached Mars, NASA began studying the next Rover mission. In 2006, we started to select the landing site. After five years of careful screening, we finally selected the Gaelic Crater. This task is supported by many countries. The Russian Federal Space Agency provides a neutron-based hydrogen detector for water. The Ministry of Education of Spain provides a meteorological component. The Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Germany and the Canadian Space Agency Cooperate to provide a spectrometer. The total cost of the task is high
