目前在机械制造工厂的热处理车间中,比较广泛地应用气体和固体渗碳法。其中气体渗碳法更有下列的一些优点:(1)由于没有导热性不良的渗碳剂,故另件加热和渗碳所需的时间就减少了。(2)能简调节渗碳气量,操作便于自动化。(3)没有笨重的碎碳机和渗碳箱,故生产面积小。(4)因工件不需装箱,故工作人员可以减少。(5)操作过程可以机械化。(6)由于生产效率高,所化劳动力少,故成本可以降低。常用的气体渗碳剂有甲烷、丙烷、煤气柴油
