人们一直认为,H_2S在深部碳酸盐储层中的大量聚积是硫酸盐热化学还原的结果。虽然有机质被认为是还原剂,但专门环境中的半个反应物至今尚未证实。碳同位素资料表明,在加拿大西部山麓的某些古生代储层中轻烃气体是有效的还原剂。
It has long been believed that the large accumulation of H2S in deep carbonate reservoirs is the result of thermochemical sulfate reduction. Although organic matter is considered a reducing agent, half of the reactants in a specialized environment have not been confirmed to date. Carbon isotope data suggest that light hydrocarbon gases are effective reducing agents in some Paleozoic reservoirs in the western foothills of Canada.
