“花儿”是祖国文艺百花园中的一株奇葩,是民族民间文学的珍品。它广泛流行于甘、青、宁、新及川西北的汉、回、东乡、撒拉、土、保安、藏等族劳动人民之中。近年来,随着我国经济的发展,文化的繁荣,一些民间文艺工作者对“花儿”渊源、族属、流派、音韵、格律等方面进行探讨与研究,这对促进民族文化的交流,发掘民间文艺,起了巨大作用。但“花儿”究竟源于何时?产于何地?族属哪个(些)民族?目前尚未确切定论,还有待于从多方位、多层次地进行探讨,弄清其渊源及来龙去脉,才能使“花儿”发展与提高,以独特的风姿走向全国,立于世界艺术之林。
