In recent years, the transplantation of clinical embryos in our country has developed rapidly and gratifying results have been achieved. However, the research on experimental islet transplantation is far behind. The main reason is that there is some methodological isthmus for islet isolation. In order to further study on islet transplantation, especially for transplant immunology research and to explore the mechanism of rejection and anti-rejection measures, it is required to solve the islet isolation and transplantation method of pure-line animals. At the same time, the method of isolating islets is also a powerful tool for the study of pancreatic endocrinology, islet physiology and immunobiology. There have been many studies on methods of islet isolation. Many laboratories have been using this method since Lacy published the method of collagenase digestion of islets in 1967.
