课程是专业的基本单元,是专业建设的“细胞工程”。课程教学内容及其体系设计是一门课程建设的基础,而如何进行设计,则取决于支撑专业建设目标的课程教学目标,所以,进行课程建设的顶层设计——课程教学目标的确定是课程建设的关键。而按照课程教学目标整合教学内容和改革教学模式是核心;按照课程教学内容和教学模式构建立体化、动态化、网络化的教材体系是载体;理论与实践并重的过程考核体系的建立是导向。
