2005年12月18日,重庆万盛姑娘张亚雯用更快的移动步伐、更有力的击球和“我一定要打败你”的气势,与搭档谢中博一起,击败了世界排名第一的印尼选手维迪安托／纳西尔搭档,为中国队赢得了羽毛球21分新制实行后的第一枚金牌。这枚金牌不但是张亚雯的第一枚世界金牌,同时也是重庆本土羽毛球选手获得的世界第一金。 3月12日,在羽毛球大师赛混双决赛中,张亚雯又获羽毛球混双冠军,为重庆体育再次争得荣誉。
