Mr. Gary Rosen joined McDonald’s headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois U.S.A. in 2001 as global marketing director and was promoted a year later as senior director of global markets. In the Global Market Group, Mr. Gary Rosen has had a significant impact on McDonald’s entire operating system. As a leader, he stepped up the company’s efforts in the home market and reintroduced McDonald’s Happy Meal to the world. He also communicated with his mother as one of McDonald’s most important target customers and spared no efforts to make Uncle McDonald’s the chief happy officer in the world, giving the family a more focused and unified marketing. Recently, Mr. Gary Rosen also strategically proposed to focus on young people and entertainment marketing. He has played a leading role in driving McDonald’s global market partnerships with the U.S. four-player band Destiny’s Children and MTV. Mr. Gary Rosen is the vice president and chief marketing and corporate affairs officer of McDonald’s (China) Limited. He is responsible for establishing and implementing McDonald’s marketing strategy, brand strategy and sales strategy in China and overseeing, training and developing market, market research, Messaging and menu management team to promote McDonald’s growth in China.
