在大陆造山带研究的最新成果基础上论述了南北地震带中段地壳的动力演变过程,结合造山带内部的高温韧性滑脱构造及地球物理深部探测成果和新生代以来的板块运动探讨了南北地震带中段地震的地壳动力学过程及成因机制.论述了在印度洋板块与欧亚板块碰撞所产生的大区域一级构造应力场及陆块与扬子板块碰撞所产生的二级构造应力场的作用下,南北地震带中段地区不同的陆块缓慢地相对运动,地震活动乃是地壳形变达到临界时不同陆块间相对运动的动力作用的反映.

Seismicity is a reflection of the dynamic effect of the relative movement between different land masses when crustal deformation reaches the critical point.
