On April 11, 2003, with the support of the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Macao Foundation and the Macau Association of Elderly Painters and Painters, the “Shenzhen Watercolor Painters’ Works Exhibition to Macau” opened at the Nanwan Millennium Exhibition Hall in Macao. Among them, there are 28 masterpieces of 14 watercolor artists from Qing Dynasty and three generations. The exhibition period is 6 days. The exhibition is widely welcomed in Macau. On the opening day alone, more than 300 people visited the exhibition. Many of them were from Macau’s cultural and arts communities, as well as students and citizens. Macao literary and art circles believe that the continuous integration of the economy in the Pearl River Delta will certainly lead to more frequent cultural exchanges. The Shenzhen watercolor exhibition to Macao is a good start for the exchange of arts and culture between Shenzhen and Macao.
