In 2002 and 2003, Japan’s economy has maintained its two consecutive years of restorative growth, leaving the people concerned about Japan’s economy vaguely aware of the dawn of boom recovery. Then, whether this light of hope can finally disperse the haze that has lasted over 10 years of Japan’s economy will not be fully agreed upon by all parties. Under such circumstances, the performance of Japan’s economy in 2004 is particularly noticeable. To this end, we organized relevant experts and scholars in the field of Japanese studies at the Northeast Asia Research Center of Jilin University from the perspective of overall, domestic demand, finance, monetary finance, international trade, international direct investment, international competitiveness of industries and employment of enterprises. Japan’s economy was reviewed and analyzed, and on this basis, the future trend of Japan’s economy was prospected.
